About Ryan Harnden

Meet Ryan!

Hello, I'm Ryan Harnden! As a dedicated member of the RSU 71 Board of Directors, I’ve had the privilege of chairing the Finance and K-5 Equity Ad-Hoc Committees, serving on the Curriculum Committee, and performing other key roles.

I'm a proud father of two RSU 71 students. With a Business degree, I currently work as the Director of Purchasing at Mathews Brothers. My community involvement includes serving as a past President of the Belfast Lions Club, a member of the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce Board, and a former Chair of the RSU 3 Board of Directors, where I completed two terms.

Growing up in the Belfast area, I’m passionate about ensuring our children have the tools they need to succeed. I want every Belfast Area High School graduate to stand out to employers, colleges, and beyond. If re-elected, I’ll continue working hard to make that vision a reality!
